How to reduce Hair fall

Hair loss is one of the most prevalent conditions affecting about one third of the population
worldwide. On an average we lose over 100 hair strands each day and it is a completely
natural phenomenon. However, a variety of factors such as diet, mineral deficiency,
medication stress etc. may cause serious hair loss problems leading to premature baldness.
Here are a few ways to take care of your hair and reduce hair loss:

1. Regular wash your hair:
By washing your hair regularly, you lower the risk of infections and dandruff that may
lead to hair breakage or loss. It is recommended to wash your hair 2-3 times a week
depending on your hair type.

1. Take your vitamins:
Vitamins are not only necessary for living a healthy life but also play an important role
in keeping your scalp and hair healthy. Vitamin A encourages healthy production of
sebum in the scalp while vitamin E helps increase blood circulation in the scalp to
help nourish the hair follicles. Vitamin B is extremely important to maintain hair colour
naturally.

1. Have enough protein:
A key component to maintain your hair health is protein. Thus, enriching your diet
with lean meats, fish, soy or other protein sources promotes hair health and helps
reduce hair loss.

1. Oil massages:
Those who experience severe hair loss must massage their scalp with essential oils
regularly. Massaging the scalp with oil helps provide nutrients to the scalp and
strengthen hair roots thus reducing hair loss.

1. Hydration:
The hair shaft comprises of 25% water thus drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day
to stay hydrated promotes growth and reduces hair loss. Drinking water also helps in

Avoid using hair dryers or towels to rub your hair dry. It is recommended to let your
